NLB InterFinanz AG is a 100% owned subsidiary of the largest Slovene
bank, Nova
Ljubljanska banka d.d., Ljubljana (NLB d.d.) and thus member
of Nova Ljubljanska banka Group. The company has been established
in 1989 in Zurich, Europe’s second largest forfait market,
where it has been operating ever since.
Nova Ljubljanska banka Group (‘the Group’ or ‘NLB
Group’) is the strongest financial and banking group in Slovenia
with dominant market shares in the retail and corporate segments.
The Group includes 48 institutions operating in 16 countries, with
banks located in Macedonia, Serbia, Montenegro, Bosnia and Herzegovina,
Germany and Bulgaria and financial companies, which provide para-banking
services such as leasing, factoring, bank assurance, mutual fund

Nova
Ljubljanska banka d. d., Ljubljana is the
largest and most important financial institution in NLB Group (Aprox.
79% of the consolidated Group assets).
The Bank traces its origins back to the 19th century when the City
Savings Bank in Ljubljana was founded in 1889. Under its present
charter NLB was established by a legislative act of the National
Assembly of the Republic of Slovenia on 27 July 1994.
Funding to NLB InterFinanz
NLB continues to fully support NLBI’s operations by directly
providing financial resources to the Company in terms of capital
participation and readily available money market lines, as well
as through the issuance of letters of comfort (awareness), which
are provided to NLBI’s counterparties in European capital
markets.
Reporting and risk compliance of NLB InterFinanz to NLB
NLBI utilises risk management expertise provided by NLB risk management
departments in compliance with stringent provisioning requirements
of the central banking government authority in Slovenia, the Central
Bank of Slovenia. Beside this it reports all parameters of its operation
on monthly and quarterly basis to the respective departments of
Nova Ljubljanska banka.
